TOMBS OF SAINTS :

1-Rabbi Abner Ha-Tsarfati (Fez):

R. Abner was born in Fez in 1827, died ther in 1883 and i interred next to R. Yehuda Ben – “Attar and Lalla Sol Ha – Tsaddiqah.

2- Rabbi Abraham Awriwer (Dad near Settat):

R. Abraham is called Mwalin Dad after the mountain on whuch he is buried. On the mountain there are numerous cairns as well as a spring and a stone with a picture of a camel. According to tradition, R. Abraham was born in the Holly Land and came to Morocco as an emissary. His students are thought to be buried alongside him. He is best known for curing barren women. He is also venerated by the Muslims, who call him Sidi Brahim. His Hillulah is celebrated on Lag b’Omer.

3- Rabbi Abraham Cohen (Tidili):

According to tradition, the saint is buried near a laurel tree. There no tomb on the site, but there is a shrine for visitors. The saint was also called Moulay Matil until he appeared to a Jew in a dream and revealed to him that his name was Rabbi Abraham Cohen. The Muslims, who also revere him, still call him Moulay Matil. According to tradition, he came to Morocco from Jerusalem in very early times.

4- Rabbi Abraham Cohen Bu-Dwaya (Tillit):

This saint is also called R. Abraham Ha-Cohen and R. Abraham Bu-Dwaya. His hillulah is celebrated on the eighth (last) day of Hanukkah. According to family tradition, he came from the Holy Land es an emissary; upon his arrival in Tillit, he decided ta settle there and marry a woman from the Malka family.

5 – Rabbi Abraham Dar’i (Imi n’Tanoute)

R. Abraham Dar’i, who specializes in healing barren women, is buried on the mountain called Imi n’Tanoute near R. Yitshaq Ha-Levi and R. Mani. His hillulah is celebrated on Lag b’ Omer. According to local tradition, the saint was discovered through a dream of one of the villagers, to whom he announced his name. He invited everyone to visit his grave and promised to grant their requests. Upon following the directions given in the dream, the villagers discovered a tombstone. In recent times a shrine was built near his burial place.

6 – Rabbi Abraham Mul Annes (Azemmour)

The burial place of R. Abraham Mul Annes or “The Master of the Miracle” is one of the most interesting examples of cultic site; during THE 1940 S it gained great popularity throughout Morocco. Although the cult has flourished in modern times, we are ignorant of many precise details as to how it arose. Tradition tells that the saint is buried in the saint is buried in the courtyard of a house in the old quarter of Azemmour. Later, a tomb of sorts was improvised. He is also venerated by the Muslims.
